Mingling at BlogHer12


This is the story of 2 minglers who tried something different for one very special weekend... Ok, no seriously I (Rebecca) procrastinated as only I can and got completely locked out of BlogHer12 tickets (lesson learned!)  Christina, much more efficient than i was, jumped on expo tickets creating a slight tinge of jealous admiration from her partner.  I immediately used my new favorite site, Eventbrite, to check for blog parties and events that I can attend while the conferences were held.  Yes I (Christina) DID buy my ticket in advance, But my week didn't work out as planned! I missed alot of the parties and activities due to work and I was super upset...


So, Friday kicked off a busy busy weekend, as conferences and expos were held at the Hilton. A few blocks away at the NYIT theatre sat one mingler (Rebecca) amongst a group of fellow friends and bloggers at a screening of, "Won't Back Down" hosted by "The Moms"; for movie review see above post! It was a nonofficial event for BlogHer weekend, but the seats were filled and the event was a blast!


Saturday came along and I (Christina) was so excited to experience the Expo Hall! This was my first BlogHer and boy was I overwhelmed.. There were so many bloggers so many sponsors so much swag by the end of the day my arms were broken from carrying all the goodies!

After sitting around Saturday, kicking myself for not buying my ticket; I (Rebecca) dressed for a "Blogger Retreat" hosted by Lifetime Tv at the amazingly beautiful Townhouse Spa. Sipping on vino while receiving a mani/pedi is the best consolation in the world ladies! After the spa treatment, I was ready for the world.
Mommy's Mingle enjoyed some more partying and mingling later in the evening; even an inspiring fashion show...



Overall, both experiences were insightful and We met alot of great bloggers and potential sponsors!! Our Blog is taking off and we have alot to look forward to  in the next year!! We will BOTH be at BlogHer13 in Chicago! Though we appreciated our separate experiences, we Can't wait to enjoy this one together.
